Best Restaurants for Foodies in Reservoir

I dined with 3 people - one of us has coeliac who, based on previous experiences, is very cautious to go out and order food in a restaurant with reassurance that it is gluten free. The staff here were fantastic and very accommodating of our needs, reassuring us multiple times that the poppadoms and other dishes were gluten free which was a huge relief. Happy to report that our coeliac diner had no ill effects (which can even happen with supermarket GF bread) so this was a huge plus and an excellent meal. The food we did order was incredible - I'm still thinking about their rum beef ribs and the goat and chicken curries we ordered were as good as any multi-award winning curry houses in the UK. Can't recommend the service and the food enough, although I'd recommend they light up the stairs a little better because they're a bit tricky to navigate after dark!

No wonder this place was absolutely chockers inside and out on a warm Fitzroy evening! Very welcoming vibe and great service, excellent wines to choose from and the meal was delicious. Always reliably enjoyable!

Took my partner here for her birthday and the food was an absolute ripper! We had a Fiano wine that went perfectly well with our food. The owner was very warm and welcoming . Highly recommend

We have been to Spensley's close to 10 times now over the past year! It is our favourite place to come for a relaxing and tasty meal. We bring all our visitors here (we are originally from the UK) to showcase one of the best restaurants we have found during our time in Melbourne. The food is spectacular for the value (feed me menu is always worth it!). We will be becoming back!
