- MMichaelVIPToronto / Ontario •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had booked a Valentine dinner for 2. I didn’t expect much, but the welcoming ambiance and pleasant, accommodating host and sommelier were a great experience to set us on the wonderful evening with a pink rose wrapped in a bouquet style. We started with 2 glasses of Prosecco, then with an incredible lobster bisque served like a French union soup style but instead with a puff pastry on top covering the soup bowl. The lobster bisque was so much flavour from the fresh lobster and little chunks of lobster meat. My wife was amazed at how good it was better than many of our Michelin-starred restaurants that we have been to. The next course was the 2 large ravioli filled with braised short ribs, which was tender and had great texture and juicy flavours made along with the wrapped sheets of pasta. I would say it’s even comparable and even better than Famiglia Baldassarre in Toronto. The next course was the New York steak and fresh lobster cooked perfectly, a tempting and tender treat. We have had lobster at high-end steak houses and it’s often overcooked to hard and from frozen lobster. This was fresh, and you could tell the sweet and tender lobster meat. We ended with a large pink macaroon, soft and with great texture. Truly a memorable experience, I recommend doing special menus like this more often.More infoCe Soir Brasserie + BarPrice: Expensive• French American• Oakville•4.7

Would have much rather more courses.More infoDeauville ClubPrice: Expensive• French American• Entertainment District•4.5

Rib steak frites main was good, not great. Veal jus a bit unexpected if you don't eat veal. Braised short rib tender and yummy. Nice Côte de Rhone bottle and creative mixed berry cheesecake and tiramisu profiterole for dessert. Live piano player singing lots of Elton John. A perfect Valentine's Day romantic dinner.More infoThe BerczyPrice: Expensive• Bistro• St. Lawrence Market•4.8
- LLindaSan Diego •74 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 19, 2024We had a wonderful meal here after the opera. I had the Icelandic cod and my husband had the braised lamb. Both were excellent. The Hollandaise sauce with mine was light and delicious. The accompanying vegetables with both dishes were not overdone. Even the olive bread was hot and delicious. Don’t know why this great place was not full on a Saturday night. Great value for reasonable price!More infoVictorPrice: Expensive• French American• Financial District•4
