Dine in one of our custom designed Igloos By the Sea at The Coast Guard House. There is an igloo rental fee for $100 for three hours. Each igloo is outfitted with a Bluetooth speaker, fireplace and heater. However, we do recommend dressing warmly and/or in layers. Our full menu is available for your enjoyment. We can not guarantee any specific igloo. Igloo reservations can be cancelled in inclement weather. There is a credit hold for $20 per person to complete your reservation.     We celebrated our son’s graduation from naval chaplaincy school here. Everything was wonderful! Our server was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We had a corner table with a great view of the water. There were quite a few other groups in our area, so the noise level did rise a bit, but we could still have comfortable conversation. At the end of our meal, our server brought a card to our son, signed by the staff, congratulating him on his accomplishment! I definitely recommend The Mooring for any occasion!

    We had a great dining experience at the David Burke Steak Restaurant at Foxwoods and saw that there was another David Burke related location closer to our home in Portsmouth. We found this restaurant in Richmond at The Preserve off rt 138. We made our reservation for our first visit to this location. We were surprised and a bit confused when we came upon a guard shack with gates. The very friendly security person came out and ask us what and where we were going, I told him we have reservation at Double Barrell Steak for brunch... He welcomed us to the Preserve, explained a few things about the property and directed us to the restaurant. We were amazed at what we saw while slowly driving through the property and finally getting to our destination. We were directed to the second floor and greeted by the hostess who directed us to our table. Definitely a David Burke style of dining experience and décor!! Food choice was delicious and plentiful!! We spoke with both the property director and our waitress, both very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!!

    We enjoyed the “Thrifty Thursday “ special dinner which included creative foods such as fennel and asparagus soup , pork chops stuffed with spinach and cheese on top of creamy risotto. The atmosphere is friendly, service was attentive. All in all a very nice night out
