Best Italian Restaurants in South River

My second time here, and it was just as great as the first time. Each staff member we interacted with was an absolute pleasure and made you feel so welcome. The food was excellent. We both had steaks and the temperature was perfect and the meat had perfect flavor. Highly recommend.

We were a table of 4 & ordered different appetizers and my husband & I split a salad which was a nice size portion for each of us. The steaks we ordered were cook exactly med as ordered & were delicious. The deserts were also delicious.

We were four at 5pm for a pre-show dinner. We started at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktails that were delicious and a very generous pour! The appetizers and mains were really good, and the service was fantastic! This was our first visit to Victoria's Tratta Italiano, but it will not be our last.

This was my first time visiting New Brunswick, NJ, and I love Italian cuisine. I am so happy I was able to get a reservation at Catherine Lombardi’s! From start to finish, the service and atmosphere was impeccable, and the food was delicious to boot! The server was attentive and knowledgeable. The owner stopped by our table to offer insight on the menu and to check in with our group. We enjoyed the food, drinks, and dessert. Too many flavor profiles to share in detail but there is not a bad dish at all and our group tried several. I want to return to New Brunswick just to go back to the restaurant. I highly recommend Catherine Lombardi’s.

My wife and I decided to go there on a Tuesday evening. We had a very nice, no rush diner. The food was also very good (Shrimp Francais and Papardelle Bolegnese). They also had fish specials and veal specials that t want to try in a future visit.
