Best Brunch Restaurants in Edwardsville

My ultimate test for a restaurant is if it randomly pops in my head weeks later as I relish the memory of the meal & experience. Wandering Vine at The Castle meets that test. I am still thinking about the savory bone-in pork chop with demi-glace sauce, the decadent chestnut mushrooms, and the perfectly intense cocoa of the layered chocolate cake. I'm not going to lie, a part of me anticipates huge disappointment for every sad attempt of pork chops or chocolate cake from any other restaurant here after until I can return. Congratulations to the chef, owner and staff for creating and sharing a truly remarkable dining experience at The Castle!

Introduced a friend to this restaurant tonight and she loved it as much as I do for the vibes, excellent food and service!!!

First time guests for lunch today. Loved everything about the restaurant. Huge thank you to Heather. She made our experience so special. Her interaction with us was special. Our meals were prepared beautifully. Dessert was tasty. We will definitely come again.

We always enjoy the food and drinks. While not being big steak people they are so many options for us. The Salmon is delicious and I can not say enough about the meatloaf. Classic comfort food with great service. What more do you want?

The food is always well prepared and delivered to the table steaming hot when it is supposed to be steaming hot. The servers are kind, knowledgeable and efficient. The vibe is lively and laid back, but can get a little noisy at peak times since the tables are close together. There is a small back room that can seat a group of perhaps 8-10 and provides nice privacy. The patio has heat lamps and is comfortable through most of 3 seasons. Definitely an urban atmosphere with a sort of old school, vintage feel but with absolutely current food choices.
