Always available to answer any questions and help you choose from the incredible menu. The steaks are amazing and the wine soaked salt just makes the meal!!! Whilst the chateaubriand was tender, had a beautiful crust it was cooked medium rare rather than rare. It was however eaten and very much enjoyed. Staff were exceptionally pleasant keeping us updated at all times, without the feeling that our evening was continuously being interrupted. The 3 stars for value was only as the meat is expensive but you honestly get what you pay for. It’s not a place to go for everyday but for special occasions is absolutely fantastic. Service and staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Such a shame about no alcohol licence so no wine to go with dinner unless you bring your own and £6 corkage for a bottle was a little pricey as it said £3 on the site. We found this hotel easy to find, very welcoming, room was a little small but for an overnight stay was fine. Food in restaurant was excellent value and service was good too.
