My girlfriend and I went to Gram & Dun the Saturday after Valentine’s Day for a brunch date. We set reservations and our experience was great. Our server Sophie was great and the food was good. We would definitely go back.

I recently dined at Grunauer and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. I started with the lobster bisque, which was rich, creamy, and full of deep seafood flavors. It had a smooth texture with just the right balance of seasoning. Next, I tried the sweet potato soup, which was a pleasant surprise—velvety, slightly sweet, and well-spiced, making it a comforting and flavorful choice. For the main course, I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked—moist on the inside with a beautifully crisp exterior. The seasoning complemented the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it. The dish was well-plated and paired nicely with the sides. Overall, the service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Grunauer truly delivers on quality and flavor, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined yet hearty dining experience in Kansas City. I’ll definitely be returning!

Sam provided great service on a very busy Valentine’s. Food and drinks were very good, as expected. Restaurant was packed but mostly well organized.

My husband wanted somewhere new, usually we stay north of the river, but I grew up south so JJs is familiar to me. It didn’t disappoint. First, our server was amazing. He was top notch. He said he hadn’t been there long and to please excuse him as he was still new, you couldn’t tell 10/10 on his service. The crab cakes were phenomenal. We both had surf and turf. The steaks were tender and cooked perfectly. The lobster was seasoned and tender. Overall, we will be back in the future.

Whenever my drink glasses are allowed to become empty, and waiter is nowhere in sight, and other waiters offer to refill glasses, it's a problem. I always the emember the original owners of Strouds saying glasses can never be empty. It is still the case today. It's the little things like this that make a great waiter. Capital Grill also comes to mind
