At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner.     We reserved a table for four and arrived twenty minutes early, but the host found a nice table for us. The restaurant was very busy and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Our server was very nice and always came in a timely manner. Our food was very tasty and cooked well. The desserts were very good as well. Also the mixed cocktails were delicious. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return.

    Dining at Akemi is always a satisfying experience: the food is delicious, fresh and a good value for the quality and size of portions. I typically order the Salmon miso bento, it comes with delicious white miso soup, salmon grilled with umami rich miso sauce and extra on side, cabbage salad, roasted brussel sprouts with honey mustard glaze and rice; enough food to take a portion home for next days lunch. Love the ambience when they play soft Jazz : pop music not so much since I still like to have conversations with my dining companions. I’ve come here many times over many years and it is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants for all kinds of occasions.
