Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Ocean City

The Franklinville Inn was terrific from start to finish. Our server was attentive yet not overly so. Dinner started with warm sour dough bread and house salads. The crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had. Lumps of crab with only a trace of filler. The crab cakes were accompanied with a bell pepper cream sauce served on the side. Very light yet creamy. The queen prime rib was flavorful and was absolutely amazing. We shared a reasonably priced bottle of wine. Finished with wonderful strawberry shortcake for dessert. A great experience! Highly recommend!

I haven’t been in Sofia’s since our wedding that we celebrated there - it is a bit far from where we live, but this place has a huge sentimental value to us. Spending almost every summer in Greece, I can attest the food is authentic - the best tzatziki and moussaka I’ve had in my life. The food is certainly giving you that “welcome home” comfort. The Chilean Seabass from the Valentine day menu was outstanding, just perfect! Applause for the kitchen staff! Knowing the restaurant business very well, this place runs like a well oiled machine! Service was attentive and kind enough but not overwhelming, and this is a tough balance to achieve. Our servers were amazing - food was arriving timely, everything was at perfect temperature, we mixed the regular and Valentine’s Day menu items, adding wine flights to accompany - the wine selection was curated to perfection. The ambience is one of its strengths and can easily make you feel as if you’re somewhere in the Mediterranean. Overall, this was a spectacular experience in every aspect, and we surely be back. An absolutely wonderful dinner. The grilled calamari was some of the best I have ever had! The veal chop parmigiana was absolutely wonderful! My wife had the meatballs on ricotta and Seafood Pescatore. She absolutely enjoyed both of them very much! Our server was Reyes (?) and he was very helpful and extremely attentive.

We went for a nice Valentine’s Day Dinner . Our reservation was at 3:30 , however, we arrived much earlier at 1:00 o’clock . We went to the bar for a drink and they seated us early at 1:30. Drinks, food, waitstaff, everything was great. We were happy there was a lunch menu so the portions were better for 2 people.

Server was great, pot pye was amazing. Crab cakes taste delicious, and the rice was so fluffy. Also they put goat cheese in their mash potatoes- delicious. Me and my girlfriend also split a rack of lamb and man was that tasty. Everyone who works here is so nice and the food is next level tasty- 10/10 would recommend if your visiting the area- also they gave me and my girlfriend a piece of cake for our 10th anniversary!
