As soon as Amy Chanta flung open the doors in 1989 Chat Thai became an instant smash hit with Sydney diners already familiar with Thailand and no appetite for compromising on ingredients, flavours, textures and aromas. Searching all across Sydney for the correct vegetables, herbs and sauces Amy was able to set herself apart through a stubborn dedication to reminding diners of their unforgettable food experiences on the streets of Bangkok.Three decades later we are proud to continue Amy’s vision by adding organic vegetables from Boon Luck Farm to serve up authentic Thai dishes we ourselves want to eat. Unique flavours the Thai diaspora crave from the motherland but struggle to find outside of their own home cooking.

    I keep coming back, it is a great restaurant. Service and food are consistently good. Was very impressed to hear that the owners took all the staff to the Hunter Valley for New Years!! Congratulations to the Ownership and Management a really special thing to do and you can tell the staff are committed to making customers feel welcome and have a good experience at Khao Pla

    Thai food with a twist. Great food that was a little different. We were well looked after by the staff and the service was efficient. The Lara was amazing and the green chicken curry was the best I’ve ever tasted. Thank you. We’ll be back.

    The food was delicious but the serving size of some of the dishes could have been bigger. We ordered the crispy pork but there wasn't many pieces of pork. The ambience of the place is really nice and good for groups.
