Best Spanish Restaurants in Avondale

Everything about Little Madrid Tapas Cafe was perfect. Having spent many years in Spain, this place is the real deal. They have a fabulous selection of wine and a wide array of traditional tapas and pintxos from anchovies and croquetas to morcilla and queso de cabra. The service was perhaps my favorite part. Our waiter went above and beyond for us and our requests and was very attentive to our needs and experience while also giving us plenty of space to catch up without too many interruptions. This is a gem of a cafe that can serve as both a great date night spot or a place for a casual happy hour with friends or colleagues.

What a gem! Asador Bastian totally knocked it out of the park. Our server, Yousef ( potentially spelling his name wrong), was fantastic - super friendly and really knew his stuff. His recommendations were perfect for our dinner. We started with their Tortilla Española, which was a great way to kick things off - light but packed with flavor. The arroz cremoso that came next was incredible - the flavors were spot on. But the real showstopper was the Akaushi beef, cooked exactly how we wanted it, paired with these amazing bone marrow potato purée that I'm still thinking about. We wrapped up with a delicious cheesecake that hit all the right notes. The whole experience, from walking in to walking out, was just perfect. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes! If you're thinking about going - just do it. You won't regret it!

Mama Delia in Chicago is a fantastic Spanish restaurant that truly captures a fresh take on Spanish food with the essence of traditional cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor and warm ambiance make you feel right at home. The menu is filled with delectable options, and every dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors. While the paella was a highlight—rich, aromatic, and filling... The Matrimonio paired with a beautiful Albarino really wowed us! The service was attentive and friendly, with staff eager to offer recommendations and ensure a wonderful dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of Spanish cuisine or just looking to try something new, Mama Delia is a must-visit. It’s a delightful spot for a casual meal or a special occasion!

The best place to have fun, really enjoyed my time & it was worth it spending a Friday night in there. Definitely going back soon.
