Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Half Moon Bay

The food and service at Nobu can’t be beat. Every dish, spot on perfect. Our server & team were phenomenal. He curated our food selections & really nailed it. Food portions are small. Works for me but gets expensive trying to satiate a young guy. I’d love to see the “tacos” be sized for at least two bites. We ate in the atrium area at Nobu Palo Alto. It is probably lovely in the summer when you can see the garden. On a chilly, rainy November night, it felt a bit like being in the overflow area. Could perhaps be made more inviting with a little attention.

We celebrated my mother’s birthday and we received the best service from the dining room team. I have to say today’s service surpassed the food even. Needless to say the food is dependably tasty. We had the shrimp cocktail - very fresh; the veal scallopini sec portion is generous, so is the side dish broccolini, the other entree is a favorite - shrimp scampi with linguine. When the dessert was brought, one server (who’s an opera singer, I believe) sang Happy Birthday in a most beautiful voice. So surprising, so special. It was an overall one of the best birthday meals my mother ever had.

Such a delightful place! A group of 8 ladies met there today for lunch. It was a warm and cozy spot on a drizzly day. Our server was a delight: friendly and welcoming, professional yet completely charming. She provided great insight on the dishes. The food and service were spot on. We will definitely be back. Don’t miss this restaurant!

The entire experience was wonderful. Knowledgeable staff. Excellent cosmopolitan cocktail. Pacing of the food was also excellent. We had the Tagliarini and Branzino and both were outstanding!
