Best Seasonal Restaurants in Deptford

People are sleeping on the French toast burger foreal. Sure you can’t finish it in one sitting but then you have the other half for the best breakfast ever.

My wife and I have not been here in over a year, we will not wait that long for our next visit. Everything, and I mean everything was outstanding. From the food to the wait staff and cleanliness. Highly recommend going here for a wonderful evening.

This was our second visit to Chubby's, and it did not disappoint. The live jazz music was just the right volume, and the staff was friendly and attentive. My filet and lobster were perfect, and my wife loved her lamp chops. If I could offer any constructive criticism, it would be about the wine list. Apparently, they are redoing their wine selection, so our server asked us to pick a wine, then pick a backup from their wine list just in case and we did just that. Both of our wine choices were Malbec wines. Our waitress returned to say they have neither Malbec wine on hand then introduced us to the young lady responsible for redoing the wine selection since she knew more about wine. Out wine person then apologized and recommended a Zinfandel wine to try instead. We asked about their other Malbec wine selections on the wine list and were told they had no Malbec wine available at all. I swear that this was barley an issue for us but if this young lady is the one redoing the wine selection why couldn't she cobble together and print a simple wine list with a few choices of each varietal that they actually have on hand versus the wait staff having to tell the customer to choose a wine then choose a backup wine from an old outdated 3–4-page wine list that is totally inaccurate only to have to come back to the customer to apologize, re-explain the wine reorganization going on and start all over again. It just felt sloppy and unnecessary. Of course, I didn't blame our server for this, nor did it really matter to us, but some people think differently, and I really feel it's unfair to the wait staff to take that hit since they bust their butts to make sure the dining experience is perfect and have no control over the wine list and wine selection. Just my 2 cents on that. All in all, it was truly a great experience and a fantastic meal.

Perfect Valentine’s dinner. Service was incredible, always there when needed yet had plenty of privacy. We had a table outside which was beautiful and felt magical. The heaters made it feel cozy and they also provided blankets for our laps. Started with the cheese board which was delicious. A wide variety of cheeses all that were balanced in flavor and texture. I then had the salmon that was perfectly cooked, crispy skin with tender meat underneath. My husband had the pork belly which he thoroughly enjoyed. The cocktail (I had the Sicilian with vodka) was expertly prepare and my glass of Chardonnay at dinner was also very good. We have been to Talula’s Garden many times and have also had wonderful meals and service. One of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Our server, Brooke was fantastic always attentive. The appetizers crab dip and calamari were tasty and served hot. The crab dip was a tad skimpy as it came in a bread bowl. However, the bread is above average and all of our six people enjoyed the bread at the table and the bread bowl as well. Want to say that the drinks were amazing. We had a chocolate old-fashioned and a chocolate martini. Both were excellent sandwiches were above average and the Greek lemon chicken soup is excellent as always.!
