Trumpets on the Bay is a wonderful dining establishment, with an amazing location and decor. The food and drinks are always prepared with care, tastes delicious and presented by experienced and professional servers (Walter was wonderful). We highly recommend this restaurant. We all had the Halibut with celery root puree & haricot vert. It was absolutely delicious. Dinnertime (on a Monday) was much quieter than lunchtime so it was nice that it wasn't too loud. Also they didn't rush us out. We lingered & chatted even after we paid the bill. Much enjoyed.

Lake House has been a stand out restaurant in Bay Shore for years. After they moved closer to the Fire Island Ferry dock and built their new location I was afraid that size might negatively impact the overall fantastic experience that has always been Lake House's standard. No chance! It's still one of the top restaurants on Long Island and the service, food and ambiance remains excellent. Consistency in the restaurant business is always the most difficult achievement and Lake House meets that bar with flying colors. Thanks to them for a terrific meal on Saturday night!

We enjoyed our dinner and drinks as we usually do but for a slow night, it was very noisy. Loud customers because the music was so loud and they had to talk over it.
