Best Historic Restaurants in Winnipeg / Manitoba

Excellence all around. Fabulous ambience, food, & service. Will most definitely return again. I’ve brought both of my teenage boys here…& it made them feel special. Our server was attentive, & made great suggestions.

It was nice. The service was very good. Helpful, knowledgeable, and timely. The bruschetta was good. The prosciutto pear was the best. The fig and goat cheese was a little bit boring, like it needed a splash of olive oil or grilled bruschetta. Regardless it was delicious. The drunken mushroom pizza was fantastic! The crust was New York style and was thin and chewy like it should be. We had a great time before a concert at the Centennial Concert Hall which was a short walk away. Bravo!

Love the ambiance here! Great staff great service and great food! Tried the vegan large perogie it was really delicious! All of the food we have tried has been very good! Will always come back!

I took my son to celebrate his 18th Birthday. When we arrived at the table, the staff had a signed birthday card for him! So sweet! The food was delicious and he service was incredible. Thank you for making this a special evening for us!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable evening at the Peasant Cookery. Our server was very attentive and answered our questions about the menu etc. As well, it was a Tuesday evening and it was 1/2 price wine night which was perfect. The meal was served hot and was delicious. We enjoyed the chicken and peasant pie as well as the ribs appetizer which was incredible. I would recommend dining at this historic Winnipeg landmark.
