- JJeffMemphis / West Tennessee •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a wonderful experience. Our server was excellent. She was very friendly and attentive. She made excellent suggestions. Our meal was awesome. The filet was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and grits were excellent. The Cajun pasta was flavorful and delicious. The Cajun shrimp with Abita beer bread was incredible. We finished up with bread pudding and creme brulee. Both were very good. Highly recommend this restaurant.More infoItta BenaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Southern• Downtown•4.8
- JJenniferSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our first time into Tekila Steakhouse, and we were delighted. We were celebrating a birthday in a party of 6 (three couples). (Originally, it was going to be 8, so they can accommodate bigger groups if you need them to.) Our reservation was for 830pm on a Saturday, which was all they had available when I booked it out about 3 weeks early. The place was packed. There were people waiting, even that late, for something to come open. The first round of drinks was a little slow to reach the table, but I think that was in part to the waitress bringing 3 different wines over for presentation and approval (which was nice but unnecessary). The sheer number of people in the place would create that situation, too, and we all had water, which was refilled while we waited for the cocktails and such. The food was lovely. My boyfriend and I had the Jasper Oysters and the octopus dish for appetizers. Fabulous. I got the Chipotle Lobster pasta dish (divine!) and he got the Birria Tacos. They brought him a pretty birthday sweet at the end, which was nice. There were two different steaks ordered at our table, and they were prepared tableside, which was neat to see. You'll want to keep your share plate, though, so that you can pull the meat off the hot stone to avoid overcooking. There was an automatic 18% gratuity on our ticket, assumedly because we were a party of 6. I don't mind auto-grat and actually wish they'd default to the typical 20%, but we were able to add more to the ticket for our great server, Jessica. We had a lovely night, and I actually liked that the place was bustling because we can get loud, too. Having it be a noisier place was nice because it allowed us not to worry about laughing too hard or cheers-ing too loud. We all had a great time! Highly recommend, but definitely make a reservation.More infoTekila Mexican Cuisine / SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Mexican• Memphis•4.4
- MMarianMemphis / West Tennessee •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe first time I dined here was two years ago for my Birthday. This time it was to celebrate my fiancee’s birthday and I must admit, both times was undeniably memorable. My food was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Atlantic salmon with roasted Brussel sprouts and loaded mash potatoes. The drinks are amazing,I ordered two lemon drops, raspberry and blueberry. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. The ambiance was elegant and romantic. My fiancé was absolutely satisfied, as well as the guests we invited. There will definitely be a third visit as long as the experience continues to be this way. In my opinion I rate this beautiful establishment a 10. Keep up the fantastic service!More infoSouthern SocialPrice: Expensive• American• East-Bartlett / Collierville / Germantown•4.9
- MMarkMontreal / Quebec •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe’ve been to Memphis a bunch in the past and found Amelia Gene’s on a recent trip. I will always make a point to come here whenever I visit Memphis again. If you want an outstanding meal, great selection, and unbeatable service, you need to come here. It’s a classy but comfortable setting. Great music playing over speakers but not too loud to where you can’t have a conversation at the table. The building it’s in has been rebuilt from a 1800’s blacksmith’s foundry. Still has some old equipment to keep its heritage. It’s a must visit when you come to Memphis. We got the cheese cart, hummus starter, ravioli (more like onion soup in a lasagna noodle bowl, fabulous). Get the carrot cake! You won’t be disappointed!More infoAmelia Gene'sPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown•4.8
