Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete. Food and ambiance at M&F outstanding as ever. (I do wish they'd heat the bread, tho.) But this trip they outdid themselves in service. My dear companion now uses a cane and walks quite slowly. The valet noticed and actually drove him around to the front door where I met them having come down the stairs and secured our reservation. On leaving a member of wait staff lead him out a side door to the curb while I brought the car around. They made the night of my dear's birthday even more wonderful than just the dinner. This is old style service, above and beyond. Three cheers for Musso & Franks.

I hosted my 40th birthday at the Sunset Tower Bar, and it was flawless. Stunning sunset views, oysters, champagne, truffle fries, and a perfectly cooked steak—every detail was spot on. The vibe was chic, the service seamless, and the night unforgettable. Can’t wait to go back!
