The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. Unbelievable experience Teresa our waitress remembered my name and my 2 sons name from a month ago!! That’s awesome service. The mgr Mel and front staff were Very pleasant and accommodating on a busy Fri night. The food goes without saying always right on with cook time on the steaks delicious!! I’m so impressed I felt like royalty 👸🏼 and will definitely return. Ambiance is so cozy and dark. Love it. 😊

It is a beautiful room and the food was delicious. One of us had the Wellington Meatloaf. It looked so good. Another had the pork chop which was excellent and another had chicken pot pie. I had scallops. All very good. Service was excellent as well.

I had the Bavette Steak Frites and a glass of wine, my wife just had the Hummus, a side of mashed potatoes, and a glass of wine, and the bill was right at $100, before tip. The service and food was excellent. Just go in prepared for the prices and enjoy your meal.
