We let our waitress know early we were there for the best of Brazilian $39 discount night and they were very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the salad bar and we both had happy hour $10 drinks. Those were both very delicious. Then we were greeted by different servers of rounds of meats our favorite being the Pichana a must try.  the manager, actually came over and greeted us and gave us small talk along with our waitress who was kind enough to find our favorite dessert on the menu, to end the night on the house. Every single food item was delicious and the mimosas were good too. Our server Khai Q. was outstanding, very personable and he encouraged us to come again, which we will. We planned to go to NYC next month for my daughter’s 30th bday and she asked that we come back to DC so we come here for a bday brunch. But everything at Succotash was eye-rolling, out-of-this-world delicious. We got the Taste of the South, which is shareable plates of most of everything on the menu. Our server, Xavier, assured us there would be plenty of food, and he was not kidding. We started with kimchi deviled eggs and fried green tomato salad with goat cheese. Then smoked chicken wings and an incredible hot sweet cornbread. The mains included local crispy catfish, BBQ pork ribs, chicken and waffles (amazingly crunchy crust and meltingly tender chicken!), collard greens with country ham, awesome mac'n' cheese. Xavier was magical, whisking away empty plates and bringing new ones. THEN mini pecan pies, and hummingbird cake truffles. We had to get a take-home box. Wow, wow, wow! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff. Everything was hot and beautifully plated.
