Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. First time at New Heights and it will not be our last. Janna, our server was delightful. The menu is quite varied (Latin American and Ukranian/Eastern European) but everything was delicious and very fresh. I had a crab cake which came with a small simple salad and both were excellent. The crab cake was very large and used real crab meat and was perfectly seasoned. The tuna tacos had a nice little kick and the ceviche was outstanding. Room decor looks tired but has GREAT potential with comfortable banquets and large picture windows. Bar drinks need some help (upgrade) but we will most definitely be back when we want to sit, enjoy a good meal and hear what our friends have to say.
