- JJennifervipSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe have patronized a bunch of the known popular venues and this is the best of all the big resort competitors. (Better than Bdown’s beach house, Meridia, CanoeHouse) Local chef, a local menu that is truly farm to table, and a wonderful atmosphere. We had a kabob with shrimp, steak and ahi with a beautiful presentation. We enjoyed two salads (beet was so good, it is easily enough to share) A lovely offering of sides, including a baked seasoned pumpkin which was delightful. Totally solid for kids, steak and mash was perfect and the pineapple and strawberry sorbet was a great finish. Chef/Owner came out and greeted us. We may go again tomorrow for their “happy hour, french dip”More infoFORCPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kamuela•4.4
- ELEdwLHouston •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy wife and I went here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I requested a nice table, if available, and Meridia did not disappoint. We had a great table (and view as the sun was setting) and had an incredible waitress, Elizabeth. She made the whole evening even more special… thank you E!More infoMeridiaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Kohala Coast•4.6
- CCarolvipHawaii •8 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoRoy’s is continuing to work on their menu. New items that are delicious include the shrimp appetizer and the special of the evening which was a delicious steak with little fingerling potatoes made into potato chips. The Romain salad seemed particularly fresh and wonderful last night. The salmon is a favorite of mine and it also seem to be especially good. So nice to see they are keeping up the good work .More infoRoy's Waikoloa Bar & GrillPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Waikoloa•4.5
- WWayneSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 15, 2024Best Japanese food since we were in Kyoto. Well worth a visit to taste fine sake and lovely tasty courses of food. Much cheaper than flying to Japan😉 The menu changes monthly to target the freshest food. Highly recommend. We’ve gone at least 3 times. If given warning, they can accommodate food allergies. My celiac family member was over the moon. Unlike many GF accommodations which remove ingredients with subsequent less tasty food, her GF dishes were delicious! Go for a special experience.More infoEngawa by Islander Sake BreweryPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Kohala Coast•4.9

Tada San, co-owner, led us on a very educational tasting experience of their sake which is made here on Hawai’i Island. The sake was wonderful, his story telling and execution were very insightful. Even the tasting glasses were beautiful. Will definitely be back and bring friends!More infoIslander Sake BreweryPrice: Expensive• Brewery• Kohala Coast•5
