Best Casual Restaurants in St Matthews

We had a wonderful anniversary celebration dinner thanks to our server Patrick and his trainee (whose name we sadly didn’t catch but definitely was provided). The added touch of the card and complimentary 24k gold cake from the restaurant made it even more memorable. Patrick and his colleague were incredibly attentive, ensuring everything was perfect for our special night. Thank you all for a great evening. We’ll definitely be back!

This has become our go to restaurant when we want a night out. The food is always excellent and we usually get something different every time we go ……. Except for the appetizer, we always share the Tortelloni then fight over who gets the last swipe of sauce. You’ll want a double order for your meal. Service is great and we love the vibe. Five stars every time!

This place is pretty awesome. Our server was amazing. She gave us several recommendations and thoroughly explained what those dishes were. Super friendly! The manager came by and talked to us for a few minutes while we waited on our check to be paid and she was awesome, too. The music is a little loud but not so bad you couldn't have a conversation across the table. The atmosphere was really cool and we felt welcome. Of course the food was great, too. If you're into Venezuelan cuisine, or just want to try something new, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Lou Lou is consistently good with both food and service and tonight was no exception. My seasonal salad was fresh and flavorful, though I took off a star for value because the salmon on it was minuscule and the overall portion of the dish was pretty small (next time I will order the "large" for a few dollars more). My friend's salmon and salad were also tasty. But the real star tonight was our server, Jena. She was incredibly friendly and efficient, and made us feel so welcome - we lingered for a long time and she never made us feel rushed. She also brewed fresh decaf coffee for me. The person who seated us was also friendly and kind. The great staff at Lou Lou Food & Drink really take this place to the next level.
