Haikan is our second Sapporo Ramen shop in DC after Daikaya. Haikan means, “pipe works” in Japanese, an ode to Atlantic Plumbing Building where we are located. At Haikan, we focused on creating the taste of ramen from the showa period, the golden age of ramen in Japan. There are over 1000 ramen shops in the city of Sapporo alone, and we are excited to share a completely new line-up of traditional Sapporo style ramen in DC. Filomena does not disappoint! Always perfectly cooked pasta, chicken and seafood. The place is already decorated for Christmas which makes it quite an experience with a polar bear dressed in his best and Santa not to mention all the streamers and stuff hanging from the ceiling. No place like it. Only downside is they fill the place up and it gets tight and warm down in that basement. A must for any trip to DC and Georgetown!

One of the best pizzas I have had in my life. Crust was perfect. Crunchy, extremely thin and the combination of flavors of the “don’t tell Gordon” was exquisite.

The menu was creative, the selections that I tried were outstanding (apart from the pork belly). The ambiance was hip and cool ,love the nu disco selections that were playing and classics. Comfortable seating and very attentive service.. kudos to the bartender the drinks were amazing- flavor profiles five stars -Will definitely be back and this time bringing friends
