Entering the Saloon, a family owned restaurant since it opened in 1967 is a bit like stepping into Philadelphia's past. Dark oak paneling, shiny brass and authentic local antiques create a warm congenial and casual atmosphere.     This was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The dishes are so beautifully composed and presented. The service was impeccable and the staff was super knowledgable about all potential allergens and ingredients. Just perfection. It didn’t hurt that my favorite movies were playing on the big screen. The “crab” cakes and broccoli are must-have dishes.
