- LLarryvipOrange County •15 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe made reservations for 5:30…sunset was about 15 minutes later. It was busy as location is perfect for sunset viewing. When we checked in, we were to be seated right away but hostess suggested we wait while a table was cleaned as it had a primo front seating. We did and it was stunning. The waitress, Tiana was fabulous and friendly. The food was delicious. We plan on returning again before we leave Maui.More infoHula Grill - KaanapaliPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kaanapali•4.5

Unfortunately we were seated directly above the electric guitarists at the same table both times. I asked to be moved the first time but this time haha, I just stuffed my ears with paper napkin. Next time I will be sure to come after 5:00 when the loud music ends.More infoLeilani's on the Beach - KaanapaliPrice: Moderate• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Lahaina•4.6
- KkaylaSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoLove the ambiance, (we could have sat there all day) the live music and food! We went for a late lunch and had tacos and saiman. My daughter loved the tacos.. Korean bbq (?), definitely some spice there, the saiman was not what I expected however my bias should not deter anyone from trying it! The texture of the noodles was lovely, I just wasn’t sure about the broth- not quite pho and not quite ramen, the herb mixture had me confused. We definitely highly recommend the sorbet ♥️. Yum. Our waiter James was amazing, super attentive and friendly, made the lunch even better! - RRichardGreater Boston •14 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAnyone who has been to Hawaii has paid too much for a very average meal or below average meal with an ocean view. Especially in Maui. This wasn’t that. Ulu Kitchen had an interesting menu and was expensive but not outrageously so, especially by Maui standards. We made a reservation an hour before and were seated at a table parallel to right the path separating the restaurant from the beach. Importantly we were elevated a few feet above and maybe 10 feet back so it felt very private. Super attentive service from Loran who had a great command of the menu. My wife and I split a main (surf and Turf Duo) pairing a 7oz filet with lobster ravioli, mashed potatoes, beans and a bit of salad. Spectacular especially the ravioli which are harder to find than a good steak. We ended up trying 3 appetizers : Tako Escargot which is bits of poached octopus prepared escargot style and served in an escargot tray. Superb. Also the Manila Clams - the broth was excellent and the clams tender and fresh. And finally the crab cakes which were average but served with a nicely green cream sauce with a little kick. We would go again tomorrow just to eat the ravioli. Nice ambience although it can get windy and there is live music from 5 different places going on in the background. But we thoroughly enjoyed ourselvesMore infoUlu Kitchen by MerrimanPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kaanapali•4.6
