   All their house-made pastas are incredible: Pappardelle, Pasta Moon Lasagne, Spaghetti Puttanesca. The Affettati Platter was a delightful surprise.....very extensive, with excellent choices.

   This was one of the worst dining experiences I have experienced in many years. My husband and I were in Half Moon Bay to celebrate his birthday. I reserved at Pasta Moon based on reviews and good press and mentioned it was a birthday celebration when reserving. I don't really care that the birthday was never acknowledged, but do mind that the food and service was truly terrible. Husband ordered spaghetti puttanesca with "dayboat scallops, clams and mussels". There was ONE dinky scallop, three teeny clams and three mussels. The waiter later told us one scallop is standard. The issue is that his meal and mine (tagliatelle bolognese) were dry and tasteless. Apparently they don't believe in spices or enough sauce to actually coat the pasta. This is not an American prejudice, we have traveled extensively in Italy and don't necessarily expect tons of garlic, etc. But some flavors would be appreciated. The server would disappear for ages and never asked if we were happy or needed anything. They were out of the dessert we wanted and he never asked if we wanted coffee or a dessert wine. Just disappeared to get our check. Save yourself the aggravation and go anywhere else!

   We love the food at Pasta Moon, always fresh, and beautifully presented. While it’s always nice to try their specials, we especially appreciate that the basic menu stays consistent, and enjoy coming again and again for the delicious lasagna, the tuna tartare, pizzas, butternut squash ravioli - and the mussels frite! The restaurant can be loud when busy, but overall, a very comfortable place to dine, and the food is very very good.

   Great ambiance and tasty food but the service was slow and the waiter was inattentive. It took just over an hour for our food to come out and the waiter didn’t stop by once to refill our waters or see if there was anything he could provide us while we waited. Also, the far corner, where we were seated, had a speaker that was louder than all the others. Mid-way through our time, someone put some strange 70s music on the sound system. Very loud and really detracted from the evening.

   Pasta Moon never disappoints. Three of us had the dungeness crab linguine which, when it's on the menu, is amazing. Salads are delicious, bolognese pasta dish is amazing, desserts are delicious. And if you have a gluten allergy, there are many delicious choices on the menu as well as gluten free bread (house made). I am a celiac and have never gotten sick from their food. I've had GF pasta, GF pizza, salads, desserts that are GF and other entrees. Always delicious and always safe for me. The lemon parfait dessert is one of a kind and so yummy as well as beautiful.

   I have a lot of food restrictions. They were so willing to accommodate. Gluten Free Bread was one of the best I have ever had. Their GF pasta was also delicious.

    Ordered four dishes and waited for 52 minutes (after checked in with waiters for three times). We finally decided to find other place for our lunch. Not sure what’s wrong with it.
