Osteria D'Assisi Ristoranti Italiano was opened in 1995, in the Heart of Santa Fe. Owner Lino Pertusini from Lake Como, Italy serves Authentic Italian Cuisine. The restaurant was really accommodating for our family (wild kids and food allergies). The food was great and really enjoyed the staff.

Nice place but my seafood pasta wasn’t even warm. For a 5:45 seating, service was lacking although I think the server tried…. Maybe the kitchen was backed up. Have eaten there a number of times and those times came away with a favorable opinion.

The waiter was too informal, bordering on condescending, and did not pay attention. Other tables were served before us despite being seated significantly before. They messed up my son's order and admitted not writing it down. The fix came but still with mistakes. It's a shame since we've been coming for years. The wait staff, on the other hand, was attentive and excellent.

Very disappointed in the meal. The pasta was definitely prepared ahead of time and was rock hard. Hopefully this was not an indication of their usual quality.

I would not recommend Osteria D' Assisi for a nice meal. I will start by saying that we were a couple dining on the restaurant's busiest night of the year, Christmas Eve. We were looking for a special meal and unfortunately we didn't get it. First our seating. We were seated at a two top that should not have been there. My chair was actually partially in a corridor between two dining rooms. Next the service. Our waiter was good, but he clearly had too many tables. He came by to take orders for drinks, food choices, and desert. Otherwise we were attended by assistants. Given that there was a hefty service charge on the bill, we felt neglected. We had cocktails with our Hors d'oeuvres and wine with our meal. The cocktails were okay, which is not okay at a premium price point. It's not that hard to make an excellent drink. Both of our glasses of wine were excellent. Our food was a mixed experience. We were dining with a prix fixe menu with three courses. Of the 6 dishes 3 were excellent, one was good, and one (a duck breast main course) was almost inedible. I am not a person who complains or sends dishes back, but perhaps I should have in this case. My duck was tough, underdone, and nearly tasteless. I am a huge fan of duck generally, so I was quite disappointed. Overall, the experience was pleasant enough, except for the duck, but at a premium restaurant wit premium pricing we were disappointed.

A busy Christmas Eve but service was excellent. The pre fixe menu was a little pricey but food was excellent. Everyone was having a good time so great atmosphere.
