After a two-year closure, Original Joe's, San Francisco’s quintessential Italian-American dining destination, revitalized iconic Daly City institution Joe’s of Westlake, and reintroduced it into the community as Original Joe’s Westlake. An anchor of Daly City from 1956 to 2014, Original Joe’s Westlake underwent an extensive two-year renovation, complete with a front-to-back interior remodel, including the kitchen and all dining spaces, and an exterior and landscaping overhaul. Following the Original Joe’s tradition, Westlake continues to prepare unpretentious, old-school Italian-American fare in an open kitchen for all to see. The menu is carefully crafted to reflect a past-meets-present hybrid of what Joe’s of Westlake used to be and what Original Joe’s Westlake is today.

Boasting Sputnik lighting, terrazzo flooring and redwood accents throughout, Original Joe’s Westlake elicits mid-century America in the likes of Palm Springs, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. The newly reimagined Cascade Room features show-stopping pimento orange banquettes, and offers a variety of options for large gatherings—from private rehearsal dinners and memorial receptions, to smaller non-private family dinners, class reunions and birthday celebrations. With beautiful custom sliding doors, the Cascade Room can be divided in half, creating two fully private event spaces, accommodating up to 50 guests each.

    The Sole Piccata is the best in the city. The Caesar the freshest and most delicious. The design of the restaurant is amazing and it’s loved by the locals.

    Celebrating our anniversary, this was my wife’s first and my second time dining at this location. The service was exceptional!! The Matre Des are beautiful women, professional, and helpful. They keep customers informed of their wait times. Ponte, my waiter, was great! My dish, Spaghetti Carbonara, was problematic. I ordered light cream sauce. Though this should’ve been easy to follow, my dish came to table with spaghetti swallowed in cream sauce! Waiter wrote my order correctly, while cooks ignored it. I sent it back. Dish came back completely dry. Not good. I decided not to send it back and ruin our anniversary dinner celebration. I had this dish during my first visit and it was prepared perfectly. My wife loved her dish-Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Spumoni ice cream is to die for!! I don’t know where they get it but I need to find out so I can buy it. Thank you for overall making our celebration special.
