Great time. A little loud and the hostess wasn't very nice.

It's always a pleasure to visit the Grill. And is usually my first, or very last stop in the district. The breakfast is worth getting out of bed for, and the atmosphere is exactly what you expect in DC, historical, interesting, and luxe

This place never disappoints. What a great wine and cocktail menu. We started with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc followed by their famous crab cakes which were superb. We ended the meal with slices of key lime pie. The restaurant was busy...thank goodness we had a reservation but the waitstaff never hurries the customers which is delightful. If you’re in DC, don’t miss eating here.

Needed a colder martini but other than that, PERFECT. The wait staff is particularly sensational.

Very disappointed overall. We (party of 6) had to send back a trout dish and a pastrami sandwich dish. Also bathroom next to where we were sitting was filthy. This was for a 2:00 pm reservation. We dined the prior evening at the HAMILTON, a sister restaurant very close by, and it was hands down a much better experience with dining and all other aspects. Drinks were good and Oyster Rockefeller was perfect. It was very busy day after Inauguration, but I believe it is like that most every day. To their credit, The Restaurant did not charge us for the two dishes. Will give it another try maybe but THE HAMILTON OFFERS THE SAME EXACT MENU.
