   We went for the prefix Christmas Eve dinner which was $125 pp. The salad course was bitter greens such as radicchio and chicory. It was too bitter and salty and we weren’t the only table that didn’t eat it. A mix with other salad greens would have been better. The spaghetti was delicious but the beef pillows were an $18 up charge so that left little choice. Again, good but not great. There were only two main courses since the steak wasn’t available which left pork tenderloin or black cod. Both were pretty uninteresting. Overall, good but not great for the price.

   The food quality at Octavia is very high. The chefs really know what they’re doing. We had a pre-fixe menu for Christmas Eve dinner and they accommodated dietary restrictions with advanced notice. They actually called a few days in advance of the reservation to confirm the dietary restrictions which was really nice. We had 9 courses I think and they were all delicious. My favorites were the soup and the pasta dishes. The service was also very good, the servers were very attending and accommodating. There was one dish I didn’t eat much of because it had radicchio in it which I don’t like, and our server offered to have the kitchen make me a replacement dish with a different lettuce instead. The only negative of Octavia is that it feels very cramped. The space is small and they squeeze in a lot of tables so you’re sitting basically on top of other diners and it’s a little awkward. Everything else was great though. I would definitely recommend Octavia as a good place for special occasions or bringing out of town visitors.

   The service is fantastic and I love the people. I think the food was very good but I didn’t understand the pallet. Overall very happy though because the service was so amazing!

   Honestly was just not a fan of the food. Service was fine aside from the host who was way too casual for such an upscale restaurant. However, they did forget a beverage order. Value was great with large portions but main courses either lacked flavor or were very unbalanced. Dessert course was a highlight and helped end on a better note.

   Had a great meal at Octavia. Food and service were great. Seated very close to the people next to us so we felt a little cramped and it was pretty loud, but overall nice time.

   We have been meaning to come here for awhile, so had the opportunity right before the holidays and enjoyed an amazing meal. We did the tasting menu for 2 of us (friend's dinner) and was not disappointed. Almost everything that came out was delightful with a couple of personal preferences that we didn't care for as much but still tasty. The desserts were amazing. The chocolate pavlova and the kiwi jelly is something that i'll remember and go back for again if they still have it.

   We ate at this restaurant a few years ago and it was very good. This last time was a different experience. I ordered pasta which came by itself in a small cereal size bowl. My husband ordered sole. He received two dollar size pieces of fish on a piece of lettuce for $38. The waiter should have told us that the portions were very small and that we should consider ordering more food. Since it was my birthday, I received an "extra" dessert which consisted of 2 small chocolate chip cookies that tasted store bought. We did order other desserts which were good, but all in all we walked away hungry and disappointed. Additionally, the restaurant is very small and the noise level makes it very difficult to hear your own conversation. We would not go back to this restaurant.
