World renowned for its award winning "New Style" Japanese cuisine, Nobu continues to offer savvy diners across the globe a culinary adventure. Our San Diego location is yet another canvas for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to display his legendary dishes, such as the Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno.
The restaurant which is nestled in the perennially hip and centrally located Hard Rock Hotel also features unique creations by Executive Chef David Meade who has honed his skill at Nobu locations in Miami and New York. Nobu San Diego delivers equally on food, impeccable service and ambiance that is sophisticated yet lively.

Francisco and David are absolute all stars! You know the food will be amazing at Nobu, but having educated and wonderful waitstaff makes the experience.

Food was solid. But I spent about $900 there and the wait staff was constantly trying to pull our plates off our table. Towards the end, we essentially got kicked out and off the table so they can bring more customers in. Disappointing considering we spent close to 1k. We were only there for about an hour and a half.

I’ve been to other Nobu’s and this time it was quite average at best. The miso cod continues to be a near perfect dish but the other dishes like the rock shrimp were very mediocre. It was served on what looked like a bagged chopped salad with way too much vinegar. The warm mushroom salad looked great but same thing, overkill on the acid. For the price there are way better dinning choices.

Great food, service and experience. It is pricey but so good! I’ll keep going to Nobu SD! It was slightly noisy but it does not change my very positive experience! The food was amazing. My son loved it and it was his first time sushi experience. I have set the bar too high!
It is a must go to for sushi place with so many other great dishes!

Maybe it’s a new way of dining, but I was reminded at least six times by text call and in-person that I only had two hours to enjoy the dinner with my party of four and the last thing they told me as they’re were seating us down at the table …”remember only two hours” that started me off with a really bad taste in my mouth here we are spending almost $1000 and celebrating some success and I’m finding myself watching the clock That’s not enjoyable It’s silly and shows a lack of respect for your customer. Imagine if I said I’m sorry, but I could only operate on you for an hour after that we’re done just so I can turn out more cases doesn’t make any sense to me. That certainly ruined the some of the night and ambience the wait staff was otherwise excellent.
