The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by Executive Chef Michael Rain , whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Our wine menu has been chosen specifically to compliment the food and highlight producers from the world's leading wine regions.

Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, old-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 3 or 5-course Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence.

    Everything was excellent, but the best thing was being able to have a conversation with our friends and be able to hear each other, even on a Saturday night. I would highly recommend it.

    The owner greeted us at our table after being seated and was extremely pleasant to chat with. He told us we were seated at the owners table and it was gorgeous. Views of the lit up bridge and downtown Minneapolis surrounded our party of five. The Sweater Weather Old Fashioneds were delicious, Nic’s 1/2 Lb burger was incredible and the sweet potato fries with a hint of truffle oil and Parmesan were absolutely the bomb! A great experience was had by us all and highly recommend going here. Can’t wait until the next time we visit downtown Minneapolis to enjoy it again!

    For this our 55th wedding anniversary, it was the very best celebration dining experience ever. Food, atmosphere, service, all top drawer. Our server Rebecca was amazing. She diligently worked to make this a very special experience for us.

    My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our Anniversary. We had dinner, which was phenomenal. Then we stayed overnight at the Inn, which was really lovely. Then we had Brunch again the next morning which was amazing as well! Great food, service and accommodations! I highly recommend the Inn and Restaurant!
