From the moment we were greeter at the door the experience began. The new and fresh decor flooded the senses. Warm. Inviting. A bit of glamour. My husband and I met Nick when we were in last and had a nice conversation with him and he gave us his card and said not to hesitate to call him if he could “take care” of us in any way. We were bringing in a party of 6 and could not get a time that was agreeable to all and 2 of the men have a hard time hearing so the noise level is often an issue. I contacted Nick and he was able to accommodate us in a side room. Such unexpected gracious hospitality! As we were seated the room just glowed with welcome. Tanya our server was there to greet us and to take care of any request. The food was beautifully presented and an explosion of flavor in each bite. The table side sweet potato presentation was well done and again the flavors danced on the tongue! Sushi was so so fresh and each presentation carefully done. My sea bass melted in my mouth with me wanting more. Justin helped serve a special addition of eggplant and we began talking about incredible customer service and expectations. Clearly, this evening exceeded my expectations and was a dining experience from start to finish. The dessert finale was the cheesecake for 2 and it absolutely was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. But one final note… I had on black wool pants and the white napkin left lint on my pants. I mentioned it to Tanya who appears with a lint roller! Really! As we left, thanks all around and hugs! Thank you Nick and your staff. And thank you Wegmans for affording was such a jewel in our midst to experience at Next Door!

Arrived early and we were seated promtly in the bar area, which I was not pleased about as they were having a Drink Special Night. I thought they might have booked up the Dining area, but not the case. Next time I will ask for the Dining Room only. Server was prompt to greet us and asked about water. Hubby said plain Tap water would be fine. We were charged $10.00 for the water. I did not see the bill before we paid. I learned a lesson. The Lobster Bisque is EXCELLENT, loads of lobster meat and rich soup. Bread was a Jalapeno type bread, no non spicy bread offered. Came with Honey type butter and plain oil. (I thought a strange combination.) Entrees were Short Ribs and Seafood Brodetto. The Seafood was also EXCELLENT! Short Ribs were a bit fatty, but somewhat expected, asparagus was the side along with scalloped potatoes. We had 2 glasses of wine and one special cocktail. Bill was $181+.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Everything was wonderful- the ambiance, view, and decor, along with the drink and food menus, and the service. The Artichoke French was the absolute best we have had. The dinner menu had so many options to choose from. We had the Chicken Milanese, the Shrimp Scampi pizza, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter pie. Everything was better than expected- the portion sizes allowed us to have leftovers. The server was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back on our next date night.

Amore is one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. Both my son and wife are celiac and must eat gluten free and there options and attention to detail is like no other. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. Always a great meal. Pasquale is a great chef. Looking forward to my next meal. It’s a bit pricey but have never had a bad meal
