- DDavidLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoTruly a gem of Tucson. This was our first visit, so we didn't know what to expect. Based on meals at other highly regarded Tucson restaurants I didn't expect much, to be honest. Frankly, we were blown away. Everything we ordered was delicious, and a few items were truly something else. We ordered the charred broccoli expecting a fairly straightforward, and basic, starter. What we got was a dish of such complexity that we were taken aback. Another highlight was the rosemary olive oil cake. Usually olive oil cake is one of those hip menu items that never lives up to the hype. This cake was the exception. It was so moist and flavorful. When I took a bite with the cake, cream, and dark maraschino cherries (Luxardo?), it was a mouthful of heaven. We seriously considered extending our stay in Tucson one more day simply to return for dinner tomorrow. Alas, it was unrealistic. But we do plan on stopping in the next time we're in town.More infoTito and PepPrice: Moderate• Southwest• Midtown•4.8

- LLeighAlabama •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe used Open Table and made our reservation for Christmas lunch. We were pleasantly surprised as we drove to the restaurant. It was a great ambience. The food choices on the menu and the specials all sounded amazing. Made it hard to choose especially after our waitress Margarita shared her favorites. We decided we would just have bread before our meal because all the portions looked large. I had the freshest salad with honey mustard the house dressing. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and it was perfection. Not too rich. It was well balanced lemon crème sauce with stuffed lobster ricotta pasta. My husband and our other guest both got baked Mostaccioli. They loved it and both took home leftovers. We had tiramisu and I had vanilla and chocolate gelato with chocolate and caramel syrup which our waitress made at her recommendation. Yum!! There. Was nothing I would have changed. It was such a great meal. I'm ready to go back now and highly recommend.More infoPiazza GaviPrice: Expensive• Italian• Foothills•4.6

We were even served by Renee - who gave us recommendations. Definitely would recommend!More infoRenee's TucsonPrice: Moderate• Italian• East Tucson•4.8

Discover Benson
Part of America’s iconic railroad history, Benson has its own historic replicated train depot. Begin your day with a cup of caramel marocchino with a pinch of cinnamon and a plate of spicy Cajun sausage and eggs. If you get a craving for something south of the border later in the day, try a colorful piñata salad, delectable quesadilla, or regionally inspired chimichanga from an authentic Mexican restaurant. You can even top it all off with a shot of mezcal. For a taste of Americana with a twist, sit down to one of the town's famous hot dogs; there are more than 12 different kinds. A warm slice of homemade Dutch apple pie, made from apples grown by a local family, is sure to be a pleasing end to any meal.
