- MMarlenePhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is a great place to have a special lunch with family and friends. The service is very good and the food is tasty and they are unique dishes to choose from. The ambience is special and it’s nice to end the meal with a trip next door to the garden and houseware gift shop! I always enjoy coming to both places for a good meal and a nice shopping time!More infoTerrain Cafe - DoylestownPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Doylestown•4.7
- RRickPhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAlways a delight, but especially at Christmas time! Our server attended to our table several times to check on our experience. They accommodated our request for special seating. Lighting was sufficient. The decorations looked festive and cozy. The chicken parm with vegetables tasted wonderful and my house salad included a variety of toppings. Not your typical house side salad! My husband ordered the special cod with crab and enjoyed it. Our friend ordered lobster bisque, caesar salad, and coconut shrimp. All appetizers, but made a complete meal. The dessert, a pear with hot fudge and ice cream with berries and whipped cream was large enough for two of us to share. Did I say delicious, too?! - AAnnPhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOur 2nd visit. Our party of four enjoyed a fabulous meal. Upon arrival, we were offered two seating options after noticing an open booth in the bar area. The circular booth in a nearby dining room was cozy but we wanted a livelier atmosphere in the bar area and went with that. Great service with attention to detail. Warm, delicious rolls, martinis and then shared salads. Each meal was delivered timely. Attended a show at the theatre that night and stayed at the hotel with breakfast included. We are already planning a return visit. Highly recommend.More infoThe Washington House - PennsylvaniaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Sellersville•4.8

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. It doesn’t have to be fancy. What makes an occasion special isn’t an arbitrary date on the calendar—it’s the decision to celebrate. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

Discover Sellersville
When thinking of food in the Philadelphia area, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the cheese steak. The City of Brotherly Love founded the cheese steak sandwich in the 1930s. Sellersville, just outside of Philly, is home to a few sub shops that boast dozens of different variations on this classic. Most local restaurants are pretty casual, so if a good old Philly cheesesteak is what you're in the mood for, you've come to the right place. There are several American restaurants serving up hamburgers, locally caught venison, marinated chicken, and much more. You'll also find a few local coffee shops that are open daily for a warm, homemade breakfast.
