- LLloydEast Tennessee •15 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMuch needed and appreciated place for steak, don't miss it of you're in town. Clean, friendly, well prepared, presented and served. Not the cheapest, but worth it. Only very minor issue was that the wine list could use some organization.More infoStekoa CreekPrice: Expensive• American• Clayton•4.8

Of course the food, service and overall ambience were outstanding, as usual, but upon knowing it was our anniversary, we were met with a greeting card signed by staff, a special table and an outstanding desert. Thank you Fortify for another great evening. You guys are the standard against which others strive to be. Keep it up!More infoFortify Kitchen and BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Clayton•4.8

Discover Hiawassee
The scenic mountain town of Hiawassee is a nature lover's dream. Whether you're in town to hike or you live here, there are many memorable dining options. Barbecue makes a perfect complement to the woodsy atmosphere. Ribs are an obvious choice, and try fried corn on the cob and Brunswick stew on the side. If you've worked up an appetite on Lake Chatuge, then consider a steakhouse menu. A classic T-bone and baked potato would be a great way to end the day. For some laid-back Southern fare, a popular family restaurant has fried chicken followed by a strawberry cobbler. If you're looking for something spicy, locals love the homemade chicken soup and towering fajita platters at the traditional Mexican restaurant in town.
