French Lick Restaurants

French Lick, Indiana, is a small resort community. The area has many upscale restaurants featuring gourmet steaks, such as filet mignon and porterhouse. The community is home to many people of German descent, which is reflected in some of the entrees at the local restaurants. Some of these German specialties offered include blutwurst, schwarzwurst, and wiener, which are usually accompanied by boiled potatoes, potato pancakes, or sauerkraut. The community also has several sports bars that offer seasonal ales and a variety of Irish stouts. Coffee houses line the downtown retail area, with locally made pastries such as scones and strudel filled with cream.
