Boldon Colliery Restaurants

Second time I have dined here, but the first for Sunday Lunch and it was fabulous yet again! Service is very efficient and yet friendly. Menu has plenty of choice. I am vegetarian and it is one of the BEST Sunday Lunches I have had, so tasty! My Son had the Turkey and my Mam the Lamb, both cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were big, good selection of well cooked vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings were enormous and the gravy was delicious. We were too full to manage a dessert and thankfully we didn't have a starter. We were well looked after and will definitely be returning.

We’ve visited the restaurant last night and were blown away by the level of customer service. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met. It was my partner’s birthday and they surprised us with a birthday cake. Nice touch. Much appreciated! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere at this restaurant is absolutely great! Decor, lights and music create a fantastic ambiance. Overall fantastic experience from start to finish. Definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you for a lovely evening and see you next month. A superb Sunday Roast! Just what was needed on a wet and windy New Years Day! Between us we enjoyed the beef, pork loin and chicken and all were absolutely delicious! The vegetables were fresh, plentiful and served piping hot! Our first visit but very excited to return to try the full a la carte menu!

Great venue - a little noisy but to be expected on the last Fri before Christmas Helpful and friendly staff Not rushed at all despite it being so busy Will definitely visit again
