We chose Cesarina because they make their own pasta in-house as well as their sauces and everything else. Wow - what a great meal! We waited at the bar overlooking the pasta being made so when we were seated, we decided to start with a ravioli and separately, carpaccio. Both were outstanding with some type of truffle oil over the tender carpaccio making it fantastic! We had the Norma sauce (with eggplant) with pasta and the meaty Mafalde al Sugo Napoletano with ribs and sausage and it was made perfectly! We were too stuffed for dessert and boxed up the leftover but will definitely return.

Two friends flew in from out of town & I suggested we try C Level. Neither had been before. It was a sunny gorgeous day & we sat out on the patio. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, fish & chips & shrimp & crab Louie salad. Everything was fresh & flavorful. They loved our lunch & would highly recommend it.

First we enjoyed happy hour on the patio. The oysters' price and quality was excellent as were the happy hour drinks. We went inside for dinner where we had a reservation. The view from both the patio and the dining seats were beautiful as we were able to see the view of the bay and downtown both in daylight and as the sun set. We enjoyed the asparagus and corn salad and the salmon entree--both excellent!!!

Discover Shelter Island

Visitors to Shelter Island on San Diego Bay have a variety of cuisines available to them within short walking distance. This island was created during WWII when the bay was dredged to allow for large Navy ships. Appropriately, the cuisines found here come from around the world. When looking for elegant dining with high-end drinks, you cannot go wrong with the cuisine that concentrates on Hawaiian and seafood elements with an Asian fusion twist. The food is as sumptuous as the view of the bay. For a full-bodied American cuisine with robust views, there are excellent choices built beside the bay with the view in mind. Many of these options meld American and seafood cuisine.
