Our Chef creates exquisite specialty dishes using locally caught fish and seafood, locally farmed seasonal ingredients, and all-natural meats. Carefully chosen innovative wine, craft beer, and cocktail lists perfectly complement Chef’s savory creations. Our desserts are made in house from the freshest ingredients, so it’s okay to try all of them!

Yes, we have a stunning waterfront location overlooking the Currituck Sound, but our goal is to be a great restaurant that just happens to have a great view. From casual, familiar fare to elevated, creative originals, we offer something for everyone. Our menu includes crave-worthy appetizers, fresh salads, inspired sandwiches, creatively prepared local seafood, and scratch-made desserts. Located on the Soundside of the Sanderling Resort, the AAA 4-Diamond rated Kimball’s Kitchen is open Tuesday–Saturday 5:00 pm–10:00 pm and offers glorious views of the Currituck Sound and its inspiring sunsets, outstanding service, and a world-class menu.
Spotlighting Certified Angus Beef, freshly caught local seafood and oysters, the restaurant creates a great dining experience with an upscale coastal casual environment. Enjoy fresh seafood dishes, pasta, and hand-cut steaks accompanied by an extensive Wine Spectator recognized wine and champagne list.

"Resort Casual"– Come as you are to dine in our refined setting overlooking the Currituck Sound. We recommend pants or shorts with a collared shirt for the gentlemen and comparable resort wear for the ladies.

The Lifesaving Station - Sanderling Resort

Located in the original Caffey’s Inlet Life Saving Station No. 5, the Lifesaving Station is Sanderling’s casual, three-meal-a-day restaurant celebrating southern coastal cuisine. After the winter renovations, the second level now offers sweeping views of the Currituck Sound and available for large parties with an expansive kid’s menu.
The menu changes seasonally, and specials feature the freshest of the day’s catch. This season’s highlights are Shrimp and Grits, Crab Stuffed Flounder or Pan Seared Duck Breast. Since the restaurant's inception in 1985, the Sanderling Blue Crab Chowder has been a favorite.
The Lifesaving Station maintains an impressive wine list. At the newly renovated No 5 Bar now located on the first level, local North Carolina breweries are featured on tap while specialty cocktails include “Keeper’s Watch” . A new No 5 bar food menu is available all day.

The fish fry was perfect. Light breadcrumbs on a wonderful flounder. Very light not heavy. Seafood chowder was very delicious. My husband had the hamburger and french fries. And that sounds simple but somehow Village table and Tavern waste able to put a great twist on that. The french fries were to die for. Would love to know their seasoning. All in all a truly wonderful meal. Our server was perfect and knew just the right times to approach the table

We had another delicious meal here. The regular menu items are consistently tasty and the specials are delightful. We eat here on a regular basis and love it. Cocktails are also amazing!

From the hostess, who seated us to the personal attention of Dylan, our waiter we had exceptional service throughout. The meal is always was Outstanding, and the wine suggestion for pairing was spot on. We always enjoy our time at this restaurant and look forward to our next meal.
