Council Bluffs Restaurants

The Missouri River that forms the boundary between Iowa and Nebraska is also the boundary between Council Bluff and Omaha. Although Omaha is the larger city, there is no shortage of things to do in Council Bluff, and that includes enjoying a number of excellent dining establishments. Nebraska is known for its cattle, so it’s no surprise that many of the popular restaurants in Council Bluff are steakhouses as the local Nebraska beef makes for an excellent meal. The Reuben, a popular sandwich with corned beef and sauerkraut was first created in Omaha and is available at many restaurants in Council Bluff. Although there are some Italian and Mexican restaurants in Council Bluff, most restaurants serve steaks, hamburgers and traditional American food.
