Feels like a real Japanese restaurant. The food is delicious and we tried almost everything on the menu. I can warmly recommend the restaurant!More infoIKOYA IzakayaPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Ciutat Meridiana•4.6

Discover El Born
The lower portion of the La Ribera area is called El Born, which connects it to Barceloneta, and like the neighboring Gothic Quarter also features plenty of Medieval buildings. El Born is actually one of the most visited parts of the Ciutat Vella (“the old city”) for tourists, and has lots of restaurants, bars, and boutiques, which also makes it popular with expats. Though this southern section of the larger La Ribera neighborhood is quite small, it’s become one of the most fashionable areas within Barcelona, and the rest of La Ribera is considerably poorer and far less frequented by tourists. As a result of the gentrification happening north of El Born and the way the larger area is changing, it’s able to be a very trendy and fun spot, while being cheaper and less saturated than the already-established Gothic Quarter next door.
