Sunday River is a ski resort in Maine near the small village of Bethel, where you can find several pubs featuring ales and stouts on tap, along with craft beers, lobster tails and clam chowder. The resort features blue to double diamond ski slopes, 135 trails, eight interconnected peaks and boundary-to-boundary access, with stops for hot cocoa or coffee on the trails. The cuisine in this mountainous region of Maine is focused on hearty, rich soups and stews to keep you nice and toasty, such as venison chili.
