“This Must be the Place”What's a Wolf Peach, you say? Well, it’s an interesting story.What we know today as the tomato was first grown as a crop by the Aztec Indians. Spanish explorers brought the tomato back to Europe in the early 1500s.In England and Germany, they were initially regarded as ornamental, but poisonous, a “wolf peach”. This is because aristocrats experimented with the tomato, but it ended badly—not due to the fruit, but because it was eaten on pewter dishes. Apparently, acids in the tomato leached the highly toxic lead in the pewter dishes, and caused illness and even death in many cases. The “common” folk, however, typically ate on wooden dishes, and had no problem!Wolf Peach is a place for all of us regular folks. A little uncommon, a little unexpected, a little special. A place for everyone and anyone to enjoy a good hearty meal, scratch-made from Chef Luke Ostrowski. Join us also for weekend brunch, starting November 5th.

    Wolf Peach had become a regular stop for us. Jeff and his staff just do a great job of creating a welcoming atmosphere paired with a very nice menu. From the WP Ricotta to scallops in creamy polenta or a wonderful gourmet burger…fun selections. Add a nice wine list and great bar service. A Parker gem!

    Our server was fantastic (wish I’d caught her name), the food was excellent- had the fusilli with Italian sausage, friends had short ribs and chicken parm. We all said we’d order our meals again. And the date cake was to die for. I’m so happy to have a new addition to Parker that’s actually worth my time and money!

    We really enjoy this restaurant. Solid food and service. Great flavors and textures. Price is a little high at $4 per cup of tea - shame on me for thinking I’d get a free refill. Parking is a challenge. Other than those two things; fantastic!

    We went to the Black Haus for the first time on my wife’s bday. Jen was our server and she was excellent. Food was very good. We did bring 2 of our kids. 1 ordered from the kid menu and the other didn’t. Kid menu is great but if ordering from the main menu, they need somewhat of a mature pallet. My wife and I will go back for sure….we just may not take the kids next time. They did put a birthday card on our table signed by the staff, which was a really nice touch! Well done.
