- DDougNebraska •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe celebrated our 50th and 51st wedding anniversaries at J Gilbert’s. We were so impressed last year with the staff and food, that we decided to celebrate another anniversary there. We were treated again with a card and free dessert or glass of champagne for our anniversary! Tonight we had the chef’s prix fixe meal. Their prices are very reasonable. My wife had a wedge salad, (loaded with lots of goodies) a filet, (cooked to perfection), asparagus spears, and poblano scalloped potatoes, YUM! I had the Maryland crab bisque, a rich and delicious soup, a 14 oz Duroc pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans. I ate it all. We finished the night with the apple croustade, recommended by our server Silvia, she was great, and so was the croustade! We took home our free carrot cake to have tomorrow. It’s large enough to feed 4 people. Thank you, J Gilbert for another wonderful evening!More infoJ. Gilbert’s - Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood - OmahaPrice: Expensive• Steak• Downtown / Old Market•4.7
- GGracelynNebraska •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoIt was our first time there and I was blown away by how delicious the food was. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito at recommendation of our server and the burrito did not disappoint. The focaccia toast was delicious. I got the traditional breakfast with over medium eggs, their sausage made in house (delicious), and brioche toast and it was super tasty. The ambience even at brunch was great. The service was great, never had to worry about getting refills. The staff was friendly. Overall 10/10 experience and we cannot wait to come back for their dinner!More infoMemoirPrice: Expensive• American• Omaha•4.8
- MMichaelNashville •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoNavaratna! Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at Kinaara, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Kinaara has the perfect balance of cozy lighting and stylish decor. It goes along with the absolutely fantastic food! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we felt right at home. Our server went above and beyond to recommend dishes and pairings, and you could tell the entire staff genuinely cares about the dining experience guest have at Kinaara. The food? Divine. We have eaten Indian food on four continents. The best may well be found in Ashish Sathyan’s Kinaara in Omaha, Nebraska. Masala Fries and a Kebab Trio. Inventive and awesome. The Kebab Trio could easily be a dinner for a light eater. Our table shared four main entrees; The Malai Koftha, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biriyani and Mushroom Curry. Chef Sathyan’s Lamb dishes are always a near Masterpiece. The Mushroom Curry is perhaps one of the best vegan dishes I have ever eaten. All of the food is perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and every bite was a celebration of flavors. And let’s not forget the desserts! Chef does not disappoint with his home made date cake. It alone is worth the trip! A perfect way to end an already perfect meal. Everything was prepared with such care and attention to detail; you can tell the chef and his staff takes immense pride in their craft. Chef Sathyan has made sure that his menu offers choices for everyone. Rather one is Vegan, Halal or just getting started with the cuisine, there is plenty to choose from. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an exceptional meal, Kinaara is the place to be. It’s clear why so many people rave about it. We are already planning our next visit and can’t recommend it highly enough. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation—you won’t regret it!More infoKinaara- RegencyPrice: Moderate• Indian• West Omaha•4.8
- OTOpenTable DinerIowa •1 review4.0Dined on Jun 22, 2024My mother and I go every year to celebrate my birthday. They have excellent food, if a little pricey. Perfect for a treat / special occasion type of place. Outside of my budget to eat there regularly, though unfortunately. We usually have whatever quiche of the day they have available. It has never steered us wrong. They also have REALLY good raspberry cheesecake, so leave room for dessert! Our latest server, Mallory, was wonderful- very personable, attentive despite being super busy, and just made my birthday lunch that much more special. We made sure to tip extra well so she knew we appreciated her, as she was a VERY busy bee buzzing from table to table spreading sunshine and a smile as she went. We'll be back again next year to continue the tradition!More infoThe Sanctuary RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Shenandoah•4.9
