Wow, what a gem of a place, we had the most amazing Sunday lunch, the roast dinner was awesome we all gave it a 10/10. The kids had the amazing chicken burger and fish & chips which were also given 10/10. We had exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere, superb. We love The Rock and will be returning next time we come to North Devon at Easter and summer 2025. Thank you for an amazing Sunday afternoon and look forward to returning next year.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food. Second visit as we have to travel up from Swansea. But would definitely recommend to family & friends.

From the chap behind the bar(slim glasses facial hair) who ‘designed’ a cocktail to suit my super fussy daughter.. to Hieni our waitress could not fault their dedication… food was served promptly (again fabulous staff) We went for a set menu- outstanding in every way (taste & presentation) … decor is eye catching … highly recommend…. If I have a very minor negative it’s the music… really not a fan and a bit intrusive

Although living in the area for some time and always meaning to try for a meal and glad that we eventually did for four of us as a birthday celebration. Firstly, the online booking process worked very smoothly with a confirmation email for confidence. Warm welcome and a warm comfortable environment with log fire which was appreciated on a cold winter's day. Large spacious eating area around a well stocked bar. We went on a Sunday when they have a Sunday menu which includes a roast dinner which we all chose including one vegetarian roast option. The food was well cooked and particularly well presented with seasonal vegetables. The service was very friendly and attentive and we will certainly return.
