We booked this for Christmas lunch as it looked very quaint and romantic. We were not disappointed. A beautiful property inside an older hotel. The room was classic, clean, and distinguished and we felt like it was lovely for the type of meal we wanted to have on this special day. Our server was attentive and polite. The menu was simple as it was a special holiday. Choices were enough and we made our selections. We enjoyed our starters, entrees, and our desserts. Every bite! Wonderful!

A lovely room with two gas fireplaces that should have been lighted on this very cold night. Asked the waiter to light it and he offered to raise the heat. Ordered an old fashioned that came with no stirrer but needed to be stirred so I had to use my dinner fork. We ordered salads for starters which were fresh and tasty but kind of skimpy for$12. I had salmon which was slightly overcooked and my husband had crab cakes which he had to send back because they were cold. Hard time getting hold of the waiter for this as he was the only one but there were only two other tables besides us. The waiter was nice enough but got the impression he was bored with his job. We passed on dessert and left. Would not recommend. The food was ordinary, the sides were ok, the service was spotty.

The food was good, though not outstanding. The service was friendly. Somehow our reservation was not easily found. It was put in the wrong time slot which led to some immediate confusion. We were very pleased that the ambience was peaceful and relatively quiet and relaxed.

The Thanksgiving menu was great. It had something for everyone’s taste. We stuck to a traditional turkey course which was outstanding. The portions were generous and the service was very good.

The food was good, but they were out of certain options on their pre-fix menu. There were a couple of issues with incorrect drink orders, but overall it was a peaceful ambiance.

Lovely thanksgiving meal. The selections were ample and the food was delicious. Turkey was tender and juicy served with what tasted like homemade cranberries. Squash soup was outstanding and duck egg rolls were wonderful, too. Everything was just special and our server, Julienna (?), was so gracious and kind. We will definitely dine there again. And the historic, traditional aspect of the Inn are noteworthy. Lovely experience.

it's a hotel restaurant which is mainly there to feed their hotel guests. the Peri-Peri sardines were served still in the can which was bizarre and the shrimp and grits were not as creamy as they should be, and the rack of lamb was medium, not medium rare as requested. the service was excellent because there was nobody in the restaurant. Beautiful restaurant/ambience.

My husband and I had a getaway weekend in Washington DC and we stayed in Morrison Clark Hotel which was amazing location . First night we were so tired from busy day in the City and we decide to have dinner in Hotel restaurant . We had late reservation and we were only customers but dinner was amazing . We enjoyed our dinner until last bite . My husband had lamb chops and I ordered crab cakes . We couldn’t stop talking next day how everything was so good. Service ,food presentation ,side dishes ambience and of course food taste . Also very reasonable priced. We didn’t think twice where to go next day for dinner and we made reservation for the same restaurant . Again , dinner was outstanding . Hotel and restaurant made our getaway very memorable ❤️
