Honoring classic French cuisine, Mon Ami Gabi is a traditional French bistro located in the heart of Lincoln Park. Our menu features simple French food including Steak Frites, fresh seafood, exquisite bites, and French rolling wine carts. Valet is located at the corner of Lincoln Park West and Belden for $17 cash or Zelle. During the holiday season, for all parties of 9 or more, we ask our guests to call the restaurant directly to book a reservation.

Then, because we were right next to the door we could see the host or manager (a mid 40’s short bald man) mocking us. Disgusting! Would expect more from a nice restaurant

                                                                                        A fabulous meal that was elegantly served in a beautiful restaurant. We all had different dishes and everyone was happy with their choices. The onion soup and steak were outstanding. They split the onion soup into smaller portions if you ask which is nice. My only negative and this is a lettuce thing: they CHARGE YOU $3 IF YOU REQUEST A LARGE ICE CUBE IN YOUR COCKTAIL!!! IN PRINCIPLE ALONE THIS IS WRONG.

Friendly and helpful service, great cocktails and wines (including champagne) by the glass. The baguette is so good that a visiting friend from France told me it was better than any he had ever had there. On this visit we enjoyed briny oysters on the half shell and Caesar salad (salty but divine) before a delicious salmon with lentils and steak frites. Tart Tatin was sublime. I have been going here for years and always had a fantastic meal.
