    We booked this on the night of the Mission Inn Christmas lights festival kickoff. We were not disappointed. First of all, you get special access to the hotel, lobby and light show with a reservation. That alone saves tons of time and the burden of standing in long lines in the cold. Then there's the restaurant... What a beautiful example of early 19th Century California architecture and craftsmanship. All of the finishes from the molding and tile to the details in the Christmas decorations are beautiful. I felt like I was in a Bing Crosby movie - in Technicolor. Finally, the food and service are both 5 star! The buffet we enjoyed was curated with high quality, well made classics like shrimp cocktail, prime rib, salad bar and all the fixings. Beverages like lemonade and coffee were included. The service was friendly and very attentive. Just get here early for this festival. It took us almost an hour to get in and find parking, and the negotiate the crowds to get here from the lot. Crazy busy, but so, so worth it.

    Family dinner appetizers were great and drinks. Dinner had filet and ribeye cooked medium and quantity was excellent.

    We have the best time. The hotel is decorated for the holidays and it was so beautiful. It really helped bring me into the spirit of the season. The food was excellent as always, and the service was outstanding. I would highly highly recommend this place. The hotel was beautiful and stunning for the age of the hotel. There were so many Nice staff people. It was just a treat today.

    I love dining outdoors and the central patio did not disappoint. During Christmas time with the lights it really set the mood and I run cold but the space heaters they have made that no issue at all. The staff turned one up for us. Service was great and the food was well worth the price.

    The Mission Inn was decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful to experience. It is definitely worth a trip to Riverside . We chose to be seated on the patio at the Mission Inn Restaurant. It was a lovely day. We celebrated my Sister-in-Law’s birthday. Food was great. My Husband had the classic burger with sweet potato fries. My Sister-in-law had the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato fries. I had the French Dip with regular fries. All of us enjoyed what we chose. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    Great experience and it’s a beautiful time of the year for a meal with all the festive decor at The Mission Inn. My chicken sandwich was very tasty and they allowed for a side substitution.
