   We had a 12:00 reservation which is when we arrived. The hostess told us to wait for ten minutes before they seat us. I said we had a 12:00 reservation which. She said she knew. There was hardly anyone there why not seat us. We were cold and ready to eat. It was a very strange experience. Food and waitress were very good.

   Not on their best game tonight, probably due to large crowds from tree lighting. Appetizers took just shy of an hour to arrive. Entrees were not too late following though they have been better, lacking the best flavor. We have dined here many times before so this was out of character. We were presented with complimentary bread due to the delays. Service was good and apologetic but….the kitchen was probably overwhelmed by large groups, up to 18 or more.

   We had a 12:30 reservation for brunch. Three people, three simple orders. The room was mostly empty. By 1:30 when no food had arrived I went to speak to someone. Their excuse was they had s party of ten. They should have been able to accomodate everyone. Food arrived close to 2. No one ever came to refill water glasses or coffee or ask if we needed anything else. And they said they had run out of veggie burgers the day before but hadn’t bought/made more. I drove 1 1/2 hours from New York City to meet friends there. Hardly the holiday brunch we anticipated. Never returning.

   My wife and I visited this charming restaurant for the first time to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. The food was nothing short of exquisite, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel valued throughout our meal. The atmosphere was enchanting, with soft lighting and romantic décor that set the perfect mood for our special occasion.

   Much better than the 2 or 3 most recent experiences post pandemic, seems like they have fixed some of the issues that had developed during the pandemic. It was very slow and the place was mostly empty the night after thanksgiving. Let’s see if they can repeat this most recent experience.

   Service was wonderful- thank you Aiden. Food options were plentiful- especially if you are a vegetarian. Ambiance is always pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

   Fabulous Thanksgiving Buffet! So much food to choose from and everything was delicious! Loved all the pies and cookies, too. Will definitely go back next year.

   The Inn has a wonderful historic vibe. The ambiance is welcoming with comfy seating and fireplaces throughout. The quality of the food was just ok. The wait between the luke warm appetizer and the entree ran about 45 minutes.
